I began the move away from an extensive career in teaching to a return to the arts in 2023. I trained with the Birmingham Rep Theatre’s Foundry programme in co-creation & workshop facilitation. I worked with SAMPAD South Asian Arts company as a trainee creative producer and with the Red Earth Collective in running creative well-being and mental health workshops. In March 2024, I did an intensive training programme through Create Central & Birmingham University which prepares crew to work in scripted drama and television. I just finished working for the Birmingham Hippodrome as an associate producer on their Birmingham Weekender Festival. I am now pursuing work as a Production Coordinator or researcher in TV & Film production or the arts.
