3 The following terms and conditions apply to all users of the site whether you are a Crew Member with a profile, employer searching for Crew / Facilities, an agent, an advertiser or service provider. By using the ‘Crew Birmingham’ Website you are accepting these terms and conditions, and must abide and comply by them. Please refrain from using the site should you not agree with them.

4 To register as a Crew member on the main section, you must meet a certain criteria:

a) Be above the age of 18 years old
b) Be legally allowed to work in the UK
c) Live within an hours driving commute from your permanent home address to Birmingham city centre
d) Have four+ Broadcasting credits and two or more years paid work within the Film/TV industry.

5 To register as a New Talent member on the site you must meet the following criteria:

a) Be above the age of 18 years old
b) Be legally allowed to work in the UK
c) Live within an hours driving commute from your permanent home address to Birmingham city centre.

Any member found lying on their application or on their profile page will be struck off the database immediately.

6 We aim to process each application within three working days of receipt, but we can of course, not guarantee this.

Any information that has already been added to the Website is in the public domain but if you are unhappy and want it removing please notify us at contactus@crewbirmingham.co.uk

7 Crew UK Holdings Limited are the owners / licensee’s of all the intellectual property rights on the site which includes all the material published on it. These works are protected by copyright and all such rights are reserved.

12 If you feel that you have had communication that appears to be unlawful, inaccurate or inappropriate from a user or a third party service, please report it to us. We may, at our absolute discretion, investigate the matter and take appropriate action.

13 The use of the Crew Birmingham Website by any persons employed or involved with advertising companies, particularly in connection with direct marketing or sales purposes by mail, telephone or email, is strictly prohibited.

14 By entering the Crew Birmingham Website the user accepts a charge of £50,000 if the site is used for advertising canvassing purposes or published in any way.

18 Note for Employers – It is your responsibility to ensure that the Crew you have chosen have all the correct and necessary required licences, checks and qualifications to carry out the job offered.

19 Note for Employees – It is your responsibility to ensure that the company hiring you is legitimate and a fully regulated company that is paying you more than the national minimum wage.

20 It is your responsibility to ensure that any job or appointment offered to you is acceptable to you on your terms and conditions. We are unable to verify or provide assurance relating to the nature or duration of, or payment of any such job or appointment.

21 We shall not be liable to you for any types of loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of the Website or any of the content and/or facilities provided via the Website.

22 We are not responsible for the content or reliability of third party Websites to which are linked on the site. Listing should not be taken as endorsement of any kind. We cannot guarantee that these links will work all the time and we have no control over the availability of linked pages.

23 The service and content we provide is for your information and convenience only and is not intended to be relied upon.

24 Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee you work nor that employers will view your profile.

25 We have the right to cancel your profile and delete your content from the Crew Birmingham Website at any time, without reason.

26 We have the right to refuse (without reason) any requests to join the database should we deem them to be unsuitable for the Website.

27 We reserve the right to revise these terms and conditions at any time by amending this page. You are expected to check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we make, as they are binding on you. 32 Payment Terms – The subscribing member agrees to pay the membership fee as specified on the website package they select. The fee will be charged on a yearly basis, and the user’s debit card will be automatically charged unless the user cancels their membership 5 days before its renewal. If the user fails to make a payment, CREW UK Holdings Ltd reserves the right to suspend or terminate the user’s membership. The user is responsible for any additional fees associated with the use of their chosen payment method.

35 Automated Membership Renewals – By subscribing to our paid membership, you agree to automatic renewals of your membership plan. Renewals are taken in full yearly according to the billing date of your initial purchase. This ensures uninterrupted access to our premium services and features.

 

36 User Responsibilities – The user is responsible for maintaining the currency of their bank card information. In the event of an unsuccessful automated renewal payment due to an expired debit card, the user’s profile will be automatically removed from visibility on the website.

 

37 Cancellations and Refunds – To cancel your free or paid membership, you must send an email to contactus@crewuk.co.uk This ensures a proper removal from the website and closed networks.

 

For new paid memberships, we offer a 14-day cooling-off period. Beyond this period, no refunds will be issued.

 

Please note that a nominal administrative fee of approximately £1.50 will apply to cancellations made after the renewal date or for late cancellations.
