Ben Sansom

I'm Ben, a 25 year old Focus Puller (with kit) based in Solihull. I started as a camera trainee over 7 years ago, and have since worked my way through the camera department, with experience in Cinema Features, HETV Drama and TV Commercials. After stepping up from being a Loader/2nd AC for several years, I am now a full time focus puller. Since stepping up to 1st AC, I've been lucky enough to work on cinema-released feature films, ITV Dramas, big-budget TV commercials, and music videos for some great musicians (Lewis Capaldi, Sam Fender, James Blunt, etc). I'm comfortable with just about any kit that can be thrown my way, especially (but not limited to): Alexa Mini/ LF/ 35, Sony Venice/ 2, Red Helium/ Monstro/ Gemini, Cinetapes/ CineRT, Hi-5, WCU4, Preston Cinema Systems, DJI Ronin 2, Movi Pro, etc. I own a pretty decent selection of kit, including: ARRI Hi-5 (dual motors), Focusbug CineRT, Teradek Bolt 4k 750 LT set, SmallHD Cine7 Monitor with Teradek 4k RX module x2, Hawk-Woods M98 Mini V-Locks x4, Adicam Camera Cart with Accessories, Arri LMB 4x5 etc. along with the usual camera assistants kit. I'm always super keen to work local and alongside the great crews that Birmingham has to offer, although I do have a full clean license, and a car that can transport myself and my kit to jobs that are further afield.
