With a passion for storytelling, I aim to not only write, direct and produce my own stories but also help others tell theirs. I enjoy purposeful stories that leave an impact on audiences, providing value through entertainment. An advocate for the West Midlands region, I regularly support and engage with the local filmmaking community. My most notable achievement is THIS IS MY SKETCHBOOK, an 8-episode web series which won Best Online Content at the Birmingham Film Festival 2024.
I'm the manager of the West Midlands Screenwriters Forum and Coordinator & Lead Script Analyst for their international partner, WriteMovies.com - a longstanding writing website.
WriteMovies runs screenwriting contests, provides script consultancy, courses, and pitching/talent management. I manage day-to-day operations, marketing, and deliver consultancy services, whilst assisting with pitching our slate of projects.
Screenwriters Forum is a longstanding regional organisation that develops, connects, and supports professional and aspiring writers in the West Midlands. We run a Script Development Group, Masterclasses and networking opportunities. I manage the organisation, being the voice of the group and promoting the needs of our members.
Building production experience, I've recently line-produced the proof-of-concept rom-com MEET-CUTE and production managed TV pilot music video DUNGEON GAMERS. This builds on a range of entry-level roles I’ve held across the AD and production departments on both scripted and unscripted projects. I'm also a confident self-shooter and video producer, and have taught Film & TV at PQA Wolverhampton since January 2023.
I'm an alumnus of Create Central's Rock up Ready Skills Accelerator and The TV Foundation's The Network 2022 talent scheme. I also recently completed a CPD Production Bootcamp, focusing on developing production office skills.
I regularly create my own independent work; in 2024, I directed four micro-short films, writing and producing three of them for the Producers Forum’s 60 Second Cinema Contests. My first entry, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY, won the Spring contest, while GO SEE THE STARS and MODERN SANTA both placed second. Festival selections include the Birmingham Film Festival, Expresso 90, Atlanta Micro Short Film Festival, and Forward Film & Television Festival. I’m currently writing a psychological thriller and developing a silent short film.
