About this location

Our Museum village has a whole range of Edwardian, Victorian, 1930s and 1940s buildings, houses and shops with spectacular interiors to complement their period setting. Our steam engines, foundries, industrial wasteland, underground mine, canal boats, also lend themselves to create a spectacular filming location.

The Museum welcomes different types of pre-booked filming, including feature films, television dramas, documentaries, interviews and photographic shoots (resource permitting). We can accommodate film productions of all sizes with parking for a transport base, green rooms & production offices, in-house catering and an experienced filming team who understand technical & operational filming needs and who can be on-hand at all times for any on-site operations or access.

Based in Dudley, the Museum is centrally located in the UK, just 8 miles from Birmingham and only 3 miles from the M5 & M6, with the nearest train station just 1 mile away. There is a range of chain hotels, restaurants and a large leisure complex within 10 minutes walking distance.

Whilst we do accommodate filming, we are primarily a visitor attraction and therefore all filming is to be conducted outside of our Museum opening hours.

Requests will be considered on a case by case basis and no filming or photography will be allowed on site without prior consent. The Museum reserves the absolute right to grant or deny permission for filming and to determine the terms under which filming will be permitted.
