In September 2023 I will begin my master’s degree in Film and Television: Research and Production. Alongside this, it will be my pleasure to be the 87th Editor-in-Chief of the multi-award winning Redbrick Newspaper for 2023-2024.
I recently graduated from the University of Birmingham with a 2:1 in BA English and Film. During my time at University, I have pitched, written and directed my own short films, the culmination of which resulted in being In Consideration for ‘The Pitch Film Fund 2023’ Award; being the youngest contender to reach that stage of the competition. Through links made here, alongside my hands-on experience of the film-making process, my group of returning collaborators continues to grow, allowing me to establish my own small production company, Flatfeet Productions.
I have also progressed within The Birmingham Footnotes Comedy Society, joining as a Contributive Writer in my first year, being elected as the society’s Head Writer for my second, before ultimately becoming President. Throughout this time, I have either produced, written, or directed multiple theatrical productions, acting as a liaison between the society and production teams. A highlight of which was 2022’s Summer Sketch Show, with all the proceeds going to The Nightline Association.
I have also keenly pursued the University’s journalistic opportunities, acting as a columnist, reviewer and critic for the TV, Film, News, Culture and Satire Sections of Redbrick Newspaper, before earning a place as the publication’s Television Editor for my final year.
I'm extremely excited to exercise my skills and experience in an industry setting, and earn develop my portfolio in the TV and Film industry.
