I have 17 years experience of working in the UK film industry across marketing and distribution and I'm now looking to move into costume.
I've worked as a Costume Trainee on a film production and have volunteered in Wardrobe at my local amateur theatre. Looking for further experience in costume across film and TV production.
Outline of skills/qualities:
My freelance experience across marketing and distribution includes working directly with filmmakers and supporting distributors on national theatrical releases, I also work with two BFI-funded regional Film Hubs. Other freelance engagements include speaking about independent film distribution and audience development at events including SxSW, Edinburgh International Film Festival, Doc/Fest and on training courses run by EAVE and the ICO.
Prior to going freelance I worked for seven years at EM Media (regional screen agency for the East Midlands) as Communications Executive & Production Coordinator. This work included planning and delivering communication strategies across investment, production and exhibition activities. It also encompassed publicity work including set visits and representing EM Media’s co-financed features at key UK and international festivals. I also managed events and screenings with talent and was the Production Coordinator on the agency's short film development and production scheme.
